System requirements

macOS

Option 1: DMG

1. Download from Releases or the stable update channel
2. Open the DMG and drag Ember into Applications
3. If Gatekeeper blocks launch, allow the app under System Settings → Privacy & Security

Option 2: Homebrew

brew tap aiclientproxy/tap
brew install --cask ember

Windows

1. Download Ember_*_x64-setup.exe from Releases
2. Run the installer
3. SmartScreen warnings usually mean low signature reputation—not necessarily a corrupt file. Always use official sources

Updates

Ember checks https://updates.aiearn.me/ember/stable for updates; you can also check manually in-app.

Uninstall

• macOS: Delete Ember from Applications; config and project data live in the app user-data directory
• Windows: Uninstall via Apps & Features

Export important workspace data before removing the app.
